Free for Windows

Just talk.
Sprig types it.

A little voice companion that lives quietly on your computer. Hold a hotkey, say what you mean, and your words land right where your cursor is. In any app.

Windows 10 and 11. Free, and you bring your own free Groq key (about two minutes to set up).

Three seconds to your first sentence

No window to open, nothing to copy and paste. Sprig waits in the background until you need it.

1

Hold your hotkey

CtrlShiftSpace works anywhere: your browser, a document, email, Figma, a comment box.

2

Say what you mean

Talk normally. Sprig listens while you hold, and handles punctuation and filler words for you.

3

It types for you

Let go, and your words appear at the cursor, in whatever app you were already using.

One small setup step

Sprig uses Groq to turn your speech into text, with your own free key. It takes about two minutes.

  1. Make a free account at console.groq.com.
  2. Create an API key and copy it.
  3. Open Sprig, go to Settings, and paste it in.

That is the whole setup. Sprig tells you right away if the key works.

Why your own key?

Because it keeps Sprig free and keeps your words yours. Your recordings go straight from your computer to Groq under your own account, so nobody shares your limits and nothing passes through a server of mine.

Groq's free tier is generous: around 2,000 dictations a day, which is far more than most people speak in a week.

Your key, your history, and your dictionary all stay on your computer.

Small things that add up

Sprig learns the words you actually use, and keeps track of what you have said.

Your own dictionary

Teach Sprig names, brands, and jargon it would otherwise spell wrong.

Replacements

Say a short phrase, and Sprig types the long thing: your email, an address, a signature.

History

Everything you have dictated, grouped by day, searchable, and easy to copy again.

Insights

Words dictated, streaks, and the times of day you talk most.

A wardrobe

Sprig earns eight little outfits as you use it. Purely for fun.

Stays on your computer

Your key and your history are saved locally. There is no account and no server of mine.

Try it out

Sprig is early and made by one person, so if something feels off, tell me. That is exactly what I want to hear.

Download for Windows

Windows will probably warn you

Sprig is not code signed yet (the certificate costs a few hundred dollars a year), so Windows shows a blue "Windows protected your PC" screen. Click More info, then Run anyway. You can remove Sprig any time from Windows Settings, under Installed apps.
